Slipstream

Slipstream is a fast, low-poly kart racer that runs right in your browser. You line up against seven AI rivals, each with their own driving style. Aggressors hunt you down, Racers stay in the draft, Drifters chase boosts, Wildcards do whatever they like, and Cautious drivers play it safe. The rivals change karts every race, so no two grids feel the same.

The heart of the game is the drift. Hold it through a bend and your sparks go from blue to orange to purple, then you release for a boost. Tuck in behind another kart and you’ll build a slipstream boost too. Grab boost boxes for a burst of speed, and collect coins on the track, though your rivals will be after them as well. Spend what you earn in the garage.

There are 15 karts to unlock, from a humble Pipe Kart to a Bumper Car, a Shopping Cart, a Bathtub, a Tuk-Tuk, a Lawn Mower, a Rocket Sled and an Ice Cream Truck. Each one has its own stats and a perk. Heavier karts win the collisions, and win both cups on Normal or Hard to unlock a secret kart.

Race across 8 tracks in two cups, from desert loops to icy gates, a volcano ring and a spiral in the sky. Play a 4-race Grand Prix, jump into a quick race, or chase ghosts in time trial. There are three difficulty levels, and 1v1 split-screen lets two people race on one keyboard.

Slipstream is made for desktop with a keyboard. Your progress is saved in your browser, so avoid clearing your site data.
